Conversation at the Front Door

Rhett was getting the girls ready to take them to the park, and while he was finding his shoes, this is what took place:

Claire: standing next to the front door "I get to be the line leader!"
Summer: "Claire, can we both be the line leader?"
Claire: putting her left hand over her heart "My heart says no."

Rhett, after putting the girls to bed, then having to go down to their room again to tell them to stop talking: "I don't want to hear one more word out of here." Claire, innocently, and just asking to clarify, "How many words, dad?"

Claire told me she had "something" in her underwear. I asked her if she had an accident. She said, "No. I had a tooter and poop came out. Shooted right in there."

Me: "Stick your finger in your ear and see if you can get some of that ear wax out." Claire: "Nooooo. Because we have to lick it and that's how we wash it."
