Christmas

We had a great Christmas--the first year we spent it as our own little family. Rather than setting up the Christmas tree in the beginning of December and having to keep Summer away from it all month, we decided to set it up Christmas Eve--that way Christmas morning she could wake up to gifts and a tree with lights. When she did wake up Christmas morning, she loved the lights on the tree, but as soon as Claire made a little squeak, Summer got distracted and ran over to Claire and said, "Bebe! Bebe!"

Summer had a good time opening gifts. On some of her gifts, she was so excited she had to run over and show Claire what she got.

Here is Summer opening one of her gifts from Aunt Kate. Katelyn had given her a container with hair bands. Summer's gasped and her jaw dropped in awe. Then she patted her head for us to put them in. She was excited about them.

Dad got Summer dressed on Christmas day and put her in one of her Christmas outfits. We thought it was cute.

New matching pajamas from Grandma Kartchner. Summer's fit perfectly, and Claire will grow into her's.

The hat to Summer's new pj's. She was excited about the hat and had to put it on ASAP.

Jillyn said...: I think the bottom one is Summer....and the top one is Claire, but I'm not sure. I can't believe how much they look alike. Love all the pictures, loved seeing you even more. Thanks again for coming up. On our ride home yesterday I was frustrated and sick of driving and then I thought of you and what you, Rhett, Summer & Claire went through to get here and I was humbled and grateful that we only live four hours away.
