It all comes to an end.

School has started for Summer, and Pyper and Claire start this coming Monday. We are excited about changes and getting into a routine, but we are sad to say goodbye to the summer. It has been so wonderful!

Here's a list of our 2014 summer highlights:
Basil
Started walking at 15 months
Started talking--first words were "Thank you" and used them often (most often when we gave her food), also says, "baby," "shoe," "doggy,""Mom," "Dad," "stuck," "I did it!," and "backpack."
She also shushes when she puts the doll to bed. Love it!

Pyper
Potty trained herself (wore a swimming suit for a week and didn't want to have an accident in it because she wanted to keep wearing it, so she just went on the toilet!)
Learned to sing "Let it Go" and "Do You Want to Build a Snowman"
Can pump on the swing all by herself--she gets going pretty high!

Claire
Practiced her front flips
Can spell her name and is working on spelling other words
Is working on clipping her own toenails
Learned to do the fire pole at the park

Summer
Learned to ride a bike (woohoo!)
Did lots of reading
Wrote stories and journal entries
Celebrated her 6th birthday

Brittney
Finished a middle grade novel I've been working on for three years (A little over 200 pages long)

Rhett
DRUM ROLL . . .
Was interviewed on a radio station in Seattle! (There was a great debate about a picture of a monkey selfie--the monkey took the camera from the photographer and took a picture of himself. The debate is: who owns the picture???) You can see the awesome picture and listen to Rhett's great interview here.

What a summer!

And finally, click HERE to see our 2014 Summer I SPY book. I'm so excited about it! Can't wait to get it in the mail!

Wowsers! That's I Spy book is sooooo cute. I love that idea, and may just steal it and make one for myself. Hope I'm not breaking any copyright laws...good thing I know a good lawyer, just in case. :)

I listened to all of Rhett's interview. I thought it was great! I now feel very informed about how cloudy IP law is... haha.
