Idaho Trip Part II: The Kartchners

During our visit in Idaho, we spent some time with Grandma and Grandpa Kartchner as well. We arrived late Sunday night, but couldn't help ourselves trying out the pool.

Summer opened her gifts as well, and Basil got to try them out too.

The neighbor kids brought over a few fireworks--something the girls had never done before. Because it was Summer's birthday, we let her help him hold it.

Pip's jammies got wet, but Grandma had an extra pair. Skinnies!

One of the days while we were there, we went to visit a neighbor down the road. We got to see:

Mr. Peacock--
who let out a warning cry to all the animals when we got there. (I would too if I saw a bunch of little girls heading my way!)

This crazy chicken

Kittens

And lots of goats.

When it was time to go, we headed back toward the house and car. The goats followed the girls. It was so fun to see!

We also went and had lunch at Grandpa's school and got to tour it. Then we spent some time at a little beach with sand and water. I'd hurt my neck that morning, so no pictures of that day. :( But I did recover, after a nice chiropractic visit to Dr. Neville.

We loved spending so much time at their house. Their garden and land was so magical and fun. Feathers, bugs, a hidden kitten, garden lights, and beautiful plants and flowers. We miss it and can't wait to go back!

Looks like good times. They might want to grow up and be farmers.
