Drama in the Car

A few days ago as I was zoned out driving the girls to school, I got distracted by Summer and Claire starting to argue. I heard this:
Summer: "Claire! Give it back!"
Claire: "No!"
Summer: "Claire! It's mine! Give it back!"

Etc.

I asked Summer what Claire had taken. Summer's answer was "my flute!" I paused, then asked if this was an imaginary flute, and of course, it was.

So I told Summer I had an extra pretend flute up front with me that I could toss back to her, but that didn't suffice.

"Claire! Give it back!"
"No!"
"Claire! It's mine!"
"No it's not! My grandma gave it to me!"

Oh boy.

Suddenly, amidst all the yelling of Summer demanding her flute back, and Claire insisting it was her's and from her grandma, and me yelling calling back to Claire to give her imaginary flute back to Summer, Pyper must have felt left out and started yelling out this long dramatic "Nooooo! Nooooo!"

Thank goodness school is only a twenty minute drive . . .

Don't fret. I have a whole box of imaginary flutes at home. Just let me know when you need one, and I'll send it up:)

Oh my goodness, that's hilarious! Tell them I would love to do a recital sometime on this pretend flute!
