At the beginning of July, we took a trip down to Idaho to visit family. We went down on Saturday, and on Sunday, Rhett caught a bus back to Washington. It was a short visit for him, but it was nice to have him there with us for a little bit.
Here are some pictures of us at the cabin.
Loopin' Louie is such a hit!
We celebrated Summer's sixth birthday on Sunday. We played musical chairs.
Then everyone got to decorate a cupcake.
Grandma got Summer a piƱata, something the girls have begged and begged for. It was so much fun to watch the kids go at it. All we had was a rubber bat, so they had to work hard to break through to the goods.
Basil slept through the whole party, but she did get a cupcake.
Playing peek-a-boo.
We also set up the inflatable pool at Grandma's house.
Pip trying to get warm in the sun.
Every time Noah went down, he'd launch out of the pool. He did not want to get wet! It was hilarious.
Pip was taking her time. Boston looked at us like, "Really?"
Somehow the slide turned into a castle and they all became brothers and sisters and knights and princesses. It was so fun to watch them play together. They had such a great time.
We also got to go boating with Grandpa. Here is everyone squished in the truck, ready to go.
We stopped at a dock while Grandpa inflated the tube.
All the girls jumped in--then decided it was too cold. Not as warm as the Liberty Lake is!
Everyone in the tube, ready to go!
The kids absolutely loved it! Pyper quit a little earlier than the rest, but even now, she talks about how she got to go boating and how she wants to go again.
It was so great to get to spend a little time with my siblings and their kids. I loved watching the girls play with their cousins. They all got along so well together and had such a great time. Great memories made!
