Updates

So much to write about. So little time . . .

I need to write about our trip to Disneyland, and Summer's two week break from school right now. And I should post a video clip of Basil rolling all over the floor or Pyper and her language skills. I should probably post some pictures that Claire has drawn or talk about Summer starting piano lessons and loving it. But for now, I'll just post some blurry pictures from my phone and a little about each girl.

Summer

Favorite Disneyland ride: "It's hard to choose. Guess why. . . all the rides were my favorite."

Current Hobbies: Piano lessons (started last week)

Sending messages to me by fingerspelling words in sign language

Identifying "I," "I'm," "see," "can," "run," and "stop" in print

Rolling across the floor from corner to corner
Finding floor treasures to put in her mouth and suck on
Karate chopping our throats with her feet when we lean in to give kisses

Summer, seeing my arm peeling from a sunburn: "Why is it doing that?" Me: "Well, when you sunburn, you just tan. But when I get sunburned, it kills my skin, and then peels off." Summer, worried: "Are you getting very, very old now?" (now in tears) "I don't want you to die!"

Looking in the dishwasher: "I thought there was a black leaf in there, but it's just a craisin!"

Claire told me she had "something" in her underwear. I asked her if she had an accident. She said, "No. I had a tooter and poop came out. Shooted right in there."

Me: "Stick your finger in your ear and see if you can get some of that ear wax out." Claire: "Nooooo. Because we have to lick it and that's how we wash it."
